We've started learning math this year. So far, we've talked about numbers and their order. We have learned two games too. These are games that you could play at home with your child.
The first game is called Monster Squeeze. You will need a number line for this game 2 pencils and 2 pictures of monsters (or whatever you want). You write your number line as long as you want. Ours goes to 180 at school. You could also use a yardstick or tape measure since they are already numbered. The pencils are to attatch your monsters to.
One person thinks of a number and the other tries to guess it by asking questions like, is it smaller than..., is it larger than..., etc.
The second game is called Penny Dice. You will need 20 pennies and a dice. Take turns rolling the dice. Whatever number is rolled is the number of pennies that you pick up. The person with the most pennies wins.
I hope you have fun letting your child "teach" you these games!
