Penguins part 1

Well, we're back up and running here! Still organizing my things. We made our paper mache penguins yesterday out of plastic bottles. They turned out great. We were supposed to paint them today, but due to the snow, we won't! No school again!

The kids did an experiment yesterday called, The Blubber Glove. They put a rubber glove on their left hand and placed it into a baggie full of crisco. They then placed both of their hands into a bucket of icy water. It didn't take them long to realize that the hand without the blubber was freezing. It was a great way to see how blubber works for penguins.

We'll be painting on Monday, so check back for pictures!
