If you haven't heard already, we have begun collecting bugs for our classroom acquarium. We currently have one praying mantis. The larger one ate the smaller one last night. So, we are in need of live bugs to feed him. I have no problem with the kids bringing in bugs. They also search for them on the playground at recess. I do ask that they put them in a sealed container with air holes and put them in their backpacks. I don't want to upset any bus drivers! So, if you happen to see any cool bugs or you may just find your average grasshopper or cricket, send them in. Our mantis is hungry!
Grandparent day was a success. Everyone had someone to eat with. I always ask my mom and my grandma to come in and eat with the kids whose grandparents couldn't make it. It was a nice day to eat outside too!
REMINDER>>>>>>Tomorrow is an early dismissal day. We release at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon.
