DINNER!
Praying Mantis eating the guts of the other Praying Mantis.Today, we dumped in some bugs for our praying mantis to eat. Within two minutes he began feasting on another smaller praying mantis that we put in the acquarium. We were in the middle of reading a Junie B. Jones book and we had to stop and watch nature at it's best. I know you may be thinking that I'm a little strange by now, but it is quite fascinating.
When a praying mantis eats, they capture their prey and bite their heads off. They then suck the insides out of the insects. Gross, but the kids thought it was pretty cool!
